MicroFLUX™ is a small volume dissolution-permeation system designed for early-stage oral drug formulation development. By simultaneously measuring dissolution and permeation through a lipid-coated artificial membrane, MicroFLUX™ provides insight into both drug release and absorption potential. This combined approach enables more informed rank-ordering of formulations and can provide a more accurate prediction of in vivo oral absorption than dissolution testing alone. Integrated with Pion’s Rainbow R6™ fiber optic spectrometer for real-time data collection, MicroFLUX™ helps researchers accelerate formulation development, identify promising candidates earlier, and reduce development risk.
