BioFLUX & MacroFLUX

BioFLUX™ and MacroFLUX™ transform standard dissolution baths into advanced dissolution-permeation platforms for whole-dose formulation testing. Paired with Pion’s Rainbow R6™ fiber optic spectrometer, the systems simultaneously measure API dissolution and permeation across a lipid-coated artificial membrane, providing a more complete view of oral absorption potential than dissolution testing alone. Supporting dissolution volumes from 200–1000 mL, BioFLUX™ and MacroFLUX™ can be integrated into existing development workflows while providing automated, real-time analysis without manual sampling. By combining dissolution and permeation data, these systems help researchers optimize formulations faster, make better-informed development decisions, and reduce risk as programs advance toward the clinic.
