Purpose A “biphasic dissolution model” has recently been developed to mimic the absorption of drugs under changing (gastrointestinal) pH conditions. This has been further developed to include simulated intestinal fluids (SIF) to better understand their effect on the uptake of orally dosed pharmaceutical drugs.
