Shipping and Receiving Associate
The Shipping and Receiving Associate will be responsible for all domestic and international shipping; maintaining the stock room; and acts as a back up to manufacturing department.
Essential Functions
- Professional packaging and labeling of all outbound freight, choosing the best method of shipping, tracking a shipment to its final destination and answering inquiries about the status of orders transferred to the warehouse for shipping.
- Inspection of and reporting on all incoming freight, routing all packages to the correct department and completing all necessary paperwork for accounting purposes.
- Participation in a physical count on a bi-monthly basis as well as audit and end of year monitoring. Ensure inventory control by replenishment; perform cycle counts and discrepancy reconciliation.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean stock room with properly labeled racks, bins and parts.
- Assemble components and light assembly of products.
- Assembly, testing and repair of equipment.
- Use QuickBooks for inventory and receiving.
- Ensure that stocked parts are re-ordered from suppliers when they reach the assigned re-order level.
- Complete orders to be shipped by common carriers.
- Use Access database to maintain inventory and warehouse organization.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs. comfortably
- Use of small hand tools for light assembly of products
Travel
This position is located in our Billerica, MA office and does not require any travel.
Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Experience and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer skills including Word and Excel needed
- Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping software needed
- Previous warehouse/stockroom experience a plus.
- Experience with Fishbowl or NetSuite is a plus
