Regional Sales Representative

The Regional Sales Representative will be responsible for the management and growth of Pion’s business for a territory within the EMEIA market, through direct business and management of channel partners. The role will be based from the Pion UK office and requires regular international travel to customer sites, and participation at international conferences to increase awareness of the Pion brand. Responsibilities include market mapping and lead generation, creation of new business accounts, and nurturing growth for key accounts.

Essential Functions

  1. Manage a territory within the EMEIA region to meet sales targets and activity-based personal goals.
  2. Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Pion products and their applications.
  3. Follow-up requests for quotations and support from customers in a timely and organized manner.
  4. Upon own initiative, prospect for new customer accounts within the region.
  5. Propose business development opportunities based on market trends.
  6. Attend customer facing events to develop new business. Webinars, networking events, tradeshows, etc.
  7. Maintain accurate and current customer records, including customers working through channel partners.
  8. Attend sales meetings and marketing meetings as required.
  9. Liaise with multiple internal teams such as analytical service, operations, finance and development to help maintain and develop customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.  
  10. Share market intelligence from the field on product development, current trends, etc.

  1. Must be self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Must have knowledge of the pharmaceutical development process. Experience in pre-clinical development preferred.
  3. Should be organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills; Fluent in English with German or French desirable.
  5. Excellent presentation skills; in person and virtual.
  6. Ability to work with various levels of staff both internally and externally.

Job Requirements


The position is based in the Pion UK office (50%) and remotely (50%). International travel required up to 50%.

  1. Ability to travel up to 50%.
  2. Valid driver’s license and passport
  3. Ability to lift 30 kg.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in life or physical science required, Chemistry or Pharmacy degree desirable.
  2. 1-3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment required.
  3. Experience working for a CRO desirable.
  4. Proficiency with MS Office.
  5. Proficiency with CRM tools preferred.
  6. German and/or French language proficiency desired.
