pSOL training course will expand on the 'Getting Started' section in the Instruction Manual, using critically designed pSOL titration experiments and accompanying lectures. The objective of the course is to ensure that participants are confident about using pSOL instrument and interpreting data. The following main topics will be covered:

  • Electrode QC, titrant QC, and carbon dioxide
  • Terminology: basis, compounds, equations, constants
  • Solubility-pH determinations of weak acids, weak bases, and ampholytes
  • Bjerrum Plots for precipitated samples
  • Solubility, flux factor and pH profiles
  • Supersaturation and incomplete dissolution
  • Using cosolvents for solubility

pION has a right to cancel or postpone the training course not later than two weeks before the training course date provided there are less than 3 people registered. In this case you will be sent cancellation notification immediately and your fee will be refunded.
